Claire grew up on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, and comes from a middle income family. Her relationship with her mother is close, and her father is very distant. As a teenager she wasn’t extremely rebellious usually only sneaking into clubs while underage, anything else would have gotten her into deep trouble with her physically abusive father.
She attended New York City Public Schools for her pre college education, then the City University of New York for her undergraduate education, and New York University for Law School. Claire worked as a receptionist at a law firm during college and as a law clerk during law school. Her early career was spent in the Manhattan Legal Aid office and at a smaller law firm in Manhattan then at Crane, Poole and Schmidt. Her move to Boston was against her better judgment.

Personality Claire is usually very blunt about her feelings when they aren’t of too personal in nature. She isn’t afraid to express her opinion, and will do so even if she isn’t asked. She does, however, have a softer side that comes out on occasion. She has a very dry sense of humor and constantly uses sarcasm to deal with most situations. She’s often been labeled as a “tough New York Broad” by her co workers and other people she knows. Claire uses this to keep from explaining her childhood, which was full of physical and mental abuse. As a result she is very closed off.

Quirks: Claire uses “Ick” to express her distaste in things and situations. She doesn’t like defending murder cases. She usually dresses very conservatively, and wears a lot of red.
Strengths: Claire is a very capable attorney and is completely aware of herself and her actions and doesn’t apologize for them.
Weaknesses: Claire doesn’t make friends easily. Those she sees as having friend potential she usually just talks to and the friendship develops slowly. She is very self reliant, which is both a weakness and strength, since she has a very difficult time asking for help and admitting her flaws. Claire also has a very large jealous streak.
